So why isn't there an anime adaptation (live-action) of the most popular anime's yet? We got the CGI and stuff like Naruto and One Piece sells more than the hunger games or last air bender.
And don't tell me they don't got the money, if they can do Hit-Man and D&D.
The pic you just posted explains perfectly why
It would never be able to shake off the degenerate subculture inhabiting it, i.e., (You)
Liam Hemsworth as Naruto.
Becuase anyone with a functioning brain would realise that Naruto, One Piece or any similiar anime woudn't work in live action. What are you 15?? you fucking idiot

Horrible bait post
>>63124563
but sex sells anon. that's advertisement 101.
Oda has specifically said he won't allow a live-action One Piece
source: pulled it out of my ass, but he'd probably agree it's a terrible idea

Sex sells
But midnight screenings being filled with cosplayers, autists, landwhales and 12 year olds all jerking off and making high pitched squees doesnt
>>63124563
how exactly is one piece a part of a "subculture" when it is one of the most popular, trendy, lucrative, and institutional cultural phenomenon and export for all ages, from children to elderly, from and in Japan?
Cuz none will ever be as good as City Hunter
>>63125354
ask him >>63125280
he thinks one piece is the only the general populace of /a/ and /tv/
>>63125280
Why is there already 12 animated One Piece movies is it doesn't sell?
>>63125354
>in Japan
We are not in Japan.
We are in USA, in USA, it is a part of subculture.
learn to context
>>63125354
Yeah okay how many copies does One Piece sell in America? Every barnes and nobles I go too still has the manga section hidden in a back corner somewhere
This is the USA you lintlicker and this nerd shit dont fly here
>>63124508
>directed by Wes Anderson
Because most of it doesn't translate well to real life.
Naruto was dumb as shit but had it's cool moments. None of them would work with real actors.
CGI...why? Why translate something animated to full CGI? For what purpose?
>>63124562
I like how they emphasize the word fist. It completely ruins the meaning of the title.

USA!
USA!
USA!
You're a proper idiot. Anime and Manga is huge WORLDWIDE, it ha MASSIVE sales in only Japan because Japan is one of the only places where they really sell it. Everywhere else pirates it, the data is there for you to see though, unless you want to remain ignorant of course.
>According to the METI, over half of anime and manga fans based in the United States watch and read pirated works. The estimated cost of damage from online piracy is as much as $20 billion worldwide. In fact, a popular site used for piracy is ranked 156 in Japan, amongst the very same companies it steals from. This is a huge problem that is growing more and more every year.
>>63126876
>the estimated cost of damage
Hah, as if these people are buying Funimation's shit.
>>63125411
true
>>63126998
>this is not the point.
This is exactly why you're a fucking idiot. Funimation is an American company attempting to get licenses to sell media outside Japan.
They have ~360 titles, not all are anime. There are over ~6000-8000 anime series in existence. This is only anime, not sure about Manga.
The world literally HAS to pirate if they want to watch anime or read manga from Japan, or pay shitloads in shipping - and then you have to be able to read Japanese.
>inb4 hur dur fucking nerds LOL
Just don't bother, chad.

Not sure if best adaptation or worst.

Ummm no
>>63131707
Dark Hero the sequel was badass
>that face scrunch
>>63131707
Snake was best Guyver

>anime adaptation (live-action)
Fucking why would anyone want this. Making a movie based on the story of an anime would be ok (Like apocalyse now and heart of darkness). But setting out just to make a live action version of a cartoon is retarded.
