2. Audrey tries to rescue Jack, gets captured and tortured/raped until she's irreversibly catatonic.
3. The Chinese bastard who orchestrated both then murders Audrey dead several years later for the evilulz

Also, eating his soul, is that his wife was murdered by a woman who he thought was his best friend and who he was seriously contemplating shacking up with as his relationship with his wife was on the outs and who KNEW that his wife was pregnant/was going to reconcile with Jack. And that his daughter hates Jack and his later girlfriends either die on him, are horribly tortured, or just plain leave him when they realize how fundamentally broken he is from the bad shit he does.

Looking back at 24, it isn't quite as fantastic as I remember it was back in the day when it came out, but it still has plenty of excellent action. I think the brutality, real-time gimmick and cliffhangers made something that we hadn't seen in television before and it's why the show had such a huge impact and will be looked back as a cult-classic in the future.
