Eh I try to avoid rating these movies since Im an adult but it seems like Pixar and DreamWorks lost their ability to make more serious undertones. You could watch IceAge or Shrek 15 years later and still laugh your ass off thanks to carefully veiled jokes that are there just for parents. Somewhere around 2004 these flicks just lost their charm.

It's an impartial fact that Pixar movies were just stupid flicks for children that are popular amongst parents because they pray on your nostalgia (that feel when I stopped playing my toys, that feel when getting older and fatter but I BET I STILL HAVE THAT SPARK IN ME, that feel when I'm a parent and I would also do everything to save my child.)
It's also an impartial fact that DreamWorks movies were carefully crafted masterpieces that managed to make you laugh as a kid with their physical comedy and still manage to make you laugh as an adult with their verbal undertones that you couldn't understand back then.
And in the end it's also objectively true that both companies went to shit when Disney devoured Pixar in 2006 and DreamWorks received lawsuits from mad libkeks and decided to stop making funny movies.
