For those who don't know the story: the Earth has exploded in the future or whatever and two giant megaship city colonies called Pioneer 1 & 2 travel through deep space holding millions of humans in order to find a new home. Decades later when Pioneer 2 ship approaches the planet, communications disrupt and there is a giant explosion on the planet and they land to find every inhabitant of Pioneer 1 dead. The ship sends out parties of rangers to explore the planet and determine what happened and look for the President's cute daughter Red Ring Rico.
