Agreed

1 is still probably one of the best examples of direction done flawlessly, but Creed has so much Fucking going for it. The fights are amazingly well choreographed.

This movie surprised me so Fucking much by how much better it was than I was expecting that I can't even rationalize how good it actually is as a movie.

I need to sleep on it.

It's very good though.
>>
What I liked most is that this is the first film in the series/franchise/universe/whatever we are calling this that actually spent most of the movie on the training since the first Rocky.

Every other movie has had a lot of bullshit followed by a 2 minute training montage then immidiately the final fight.

I was thinking about seeing this but now I'm going to have to considering all the solid buzz it's been getting.
>>
>>63079751
It's literally Rocky 7 so if you were worried about it being the Cucckening of the franchise have no fear, it's legitimately GOAT material and a great edition to the franchise.
>>
>>63079814
>The cucckening of the franchise
It actually almost becomes that at one point with the whole Creed hit Rocky so hard that he exposed his deadly cancer but they quickly turned around and fixed it so it's all good.
>>
Great film, probably the film of the year.
>>
Best movie I've seen in months
>>
>>63079571
Just came back from the cinema, fuck I was blown away. You've seen it happen before, you know the story and fuck you've literally seen the same characters before...but somehow it was fresh and never tiring.

THE FOLLOWING POST CONTAINS SPOILERS:

I loved the overall movie but really? Another loss by split decision? If they hadn't 're-used it in Balboa then it wouldn't have been a bad touch, but now it just feels forced. Especially after that epic revival he had after getting knocked down.
Anyone else agree?

Honestly the only thing that posses me off is that this movie was so Fucking good that now I'm going to ruin my blu Ray collection because I have this nice blu Ray here and it doesn't represent the full series anymore but I have to own this new movie.

Will there be a sequel?

Probably.

They could spawn a new franchise out of this

Only good thing about it is the final fight which still isn't as good as Balboa/Creed 1
>>
Probably the best fight choreographing I've ever seen in a movie.

I was on the edge of my seat during the entire final fight. When he went down I legitimately thought it was over

How good is Stallone in this?

Is he delegated to minor sub secondary character?
>>
>>63080344
When did Stallone die and who animated this wax figure of him?
>>
>>63080344
>How good is Stallone in this?
He's fantastic. I really liked how he handled himself. All the charm he had in the last movie but not quite as panderingky in your face about it.

>Is he delegated to minor sub secondary character?
No, he's literally a main character.
He even has his own storyline which is more of a side-plot than a sub-plot.
>>
This movie was truly groundbreaking! An emotional thrill ride! Don't forget to buy your Creed™ on IMAX 3D™ merchandise!

Stallone has abysmally bad plastic surgery above both of his eyes.

He looks like someone out of bioshock.

They fixed up his bad plastic surgery in this one a bit.

He looked worse in Balboa
>>
Was this scene really necessary?
>>
>>63080475

No, but it was cool. It was like the kids running with Rocky, but with black guys on bikes and quads.
>>
>>63080475
I thought it was pretty funny.
Maybe that wasn't the intention, but that's the same reason I like Edge of Tomorrow, the whole thing is unintentially hilarious.
>>
>>63080475
It was him channeling his inner blackness.
He summoned waves of dirtbiking negros with his bannana levels.

but even that wasn't enough to beat Austin Powers at his home court
>>
I'm confused.
The fight took place IN the liverpool stadium?
Like, they converted it into an indoor boxing arena?
>>
Be honest.

Is it that good?
>>
>>63079926
Honestly, it's how real boxing matches end, more often than not.
>>
>>63080727
Yeah, but as a movie franchise, and one that has gone well past the point of realism in the majority of its films, the trope is getting old.
Especially 2 movies in a row.
>>
I would have rather had a prequel movie showing Apollos rise to the top.
>>

I think they can easily set up a trilogy by having Wheeler be the main opponent in the 2nd movie and have Conlan back in the 3rd movie.

1 > 2 > Balboa > 4 > 3 > 5

Creed isn't a Rocky movie, so it's not included.
>>
How do people feel about the way they write the fight scenes?

It's entertaining, but it kind of got on my nerves when Creed and Conlan would just take huge shots to the head for no response.

I know that's the whole Rocky thing, but idk.
>>
I'm seeing it this weekend thanks to you fuckers, it better not disappoint
>>
>>63082082
The MC can be a bit irrirtating in how overconfident he is but it's a solid movie and I'd reccomend it to any fan of the series.
