well our normal Odin was also quite powerful. Wisdom, creation of the world, shape shifting, seeing past and future, creating berserkers, but you are not wrong. Some are a bit over the top, but Odins stories are the more interesting ones (like all the gods). See Hercules stronger than the Hulk.
