A New Hope rehash confirmed.
At least Lucas tried something different with the prequels. JJ playing it safe like an absolute pleb.
you're very late to this party
>>63064115
well let's keep the party going friendo

>At least Lucas tried something different with the prequels.
and every part of it was fuckawful
hooray for playing it safe
>>63064225
>implying TFA won't also be fuck-awful while bringing nothing new to the table
Why JJ?
This has to rhyme with Episode IV!
Two only two things Lucas wants:
1. Make it rhyme with episodes I and IV.
2. Continue the story of Skywalkers.

>Well let's keep the shilling going XD
Honestly everyone on the planet already knows about the movie and has decided when they're going. How much are you getting paid at this point?
>>63064115
>the last one
lmao
Great film tho
>>63064453
>make a thread criticizing TFA for being a rehash
>shilling for TFA
just one, newfriend

POETRY
JJ Abrams is known to make movies that seem new, but are almost complete copies of earlier films. He's done with every movie he's ever made and fr Star Wars he's just going to make a complete copy of the 1st film: protagonist living a mundane life on a desert planet(Luke in old movies, Rey in the new movies) through coincidence somehow gets involved in the empire vs rebels war (luke buys the droids in old movies, girl meets Finn who is a runaway stormtrooper in new movie) they find an old guy (obi wan in the old movie, han solo in the new movie) that tells them the truth about jedis, the sith, and their "true potentional" and there is an evil guy that must be stopped(darth vader in old movie, kylo ren in new movie) together with new friends they team up and stop the bad guy's evil plan (death star in old movies, probably a death star in new movies too), but in the process the old mentor guy dies and I guarantee that we find out someone is somebody's father. Also it'll leave it open to cash cow sequels. The end
tl;dr Abrams is a hack.

>that one rotj pic to fake the point
>>63065365
The point wasn't "it's a rehash of the A New Hope", the point was "it's a rehash of the OT"
>>63064073
That's what I want to see so I don't give a fuck.
>>63065299
Somebody plz post the Falcon vs Enterprise warp drive webm
>>63066680

Why are people complaining?
>>63066703
oh god
>>63065299
This would actually be pretty comfy to watch, it isn't really a sequel but more like a revival i'd watch it and prob like it if it was done alright.
>JewJew ruined Star Trek
>he's ruining Star Wars
Bravo
>>63064493
What movie is that? I want to say the Naked Prey, but I don't think it is.
I want to see this so I can shitpost on /tv/ about it but I don't want to financially support Kek Wars either.
Should I just buy a ticket to another movie? I doubt the kids making minimum wage are going to care.

Because it's "different." All hyperspace shots have been from within the bridge, a cockpit, or hovering behind the ships as they vanish, never in the tunnel seeing them go past like that.
>>63067155
Walkabout
>>63067260
They did that same shot in Star Trek. So really it's not "different"
>>63067630
It's different for Star Wars.

Original Star Wars is just a retelling of Hidden Fortress. Nothing is original.
