Can this meme that the last 5 seasons of Peep Show suck die already? It may not be quite as great as the earlier seasons but it's pretty damn close and they're still better then 99% of other comedies on TV.

Just caught up with my rewatch and saw the first 2 new ones. It definitely feels a bit different from previous ones, but after how stale 8 felt overall I'm more than ok with a change of pace. The gay bit was a little sudden but they pulled it off. Its totally in character for Jez to fall in love with anything that looks at him, and he's done tons of gay shit before

Why some here think the second ep was the worst offender? Is this just butthurt because Jez fucked a guy (again) and wondered if he is an actual faggot?
It was at least more in line with the previous series: better monologues, hitchhiking, Mark making a narrative based on his phone app stalking, freaking out about the temperature to the point of hidding cameras all over the place, Jez fucking up the improv speech and so on.
The first ep was just a by the book trite to put them under he same roof again. Oh, Hans really likes his juice. Ok, now they solve the problem abducting his new roommate. One or two slightly funny lines at best.
