After careful consideration I have come to the conclusion that this is the most disturbing thing Tim and Eric have worked on. It's legitimate nightmare material. Anyone think otherwise? If not, favorite T&E/Brule sketches general.

This sketch is so fucking funny

It's too blatantly comedic to be disturbing. Played straight, it would be, but the Brule character and the staging of the whole thing is so obviously a joke that it eliminates any possible horror.

I think it's funny, but the obliviousness and the childlike sensibilities of Brule contrasted with the disgusting situations he finds himself can lead to dark places. The sketch is more about the questions it raises. Who lets their kid stay at that daycare? What exactly does Brown 2 do? Why does Brown 1 have a screaming problem? Another element is Denny, presumably the producer/cameraman who does nothing about this fucked up place. Obvious child abuse is taking place and Brule might even be in danger, yet the people behind the camera don't care one bit.

I'm too stupid to enjoy Tim and Eric. I don't get the humor at all. Everyone says it's hilarious but I just don't get it.

I feel like eric andre does this humor better on his show when he's fucking with people.

The scene with the birth of Steve's brother is much more horrifying.

It's essentially making fun of modern entertainment and how lazy/soulless it has become. Many of the sketches/infomercials can fool someone unfamiliar with T&E. It's how close the show mirrors reality that makes it great. It's only slightly exaggerated satire, not full-blown SNL type stuff. An example of this is the Jim and Derrick episode, which is almost too similar to MTV shows. Also, the Will Grello and Glen Tennis characters are great examples of the kind of dead-inside people that the industry will churn out. They have these nice little public access shows, but end up going to a dark emotional place during the taping. It kind of contrasts reality with alternate universes. In what world would an old man like Richard Dunn have a show where he gets to interview Dave Navarro? Another thing to watch out for: how "lame" people are seen as cool, and "cool" things (sun tans, fashion accessories, etc) are seen as disgusting.

Nothing is more fucked up than 'The Terry's", which was on HBO's Funny Or Die. As for true nightmare material, watch their Saint's Row ad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGyKFJFk1ow

and Eric directed a super fucked up music video a while back. It's too awful to even think about.
