Doesn't look bad at all, pham.

wasn't this a family guy plot line?

>He doesn't want to watch a show about Sinter Klaus' Demonic Helper who abducts bad kids and eats them in his cave.
Its a great idea from the guy who made Trick R' Treat. Seriously op fuck off you tasteless faggot. I hope your whole family gets raped by muslims and niggers this Christmas. Happy holidays fucker.

It's not like they came up with it. It's definitely a more fun idea than the naughty kids getting a fucking piece of coal
>>
Just watching the trailer I'm a little impressed by the amount of character actors that are in the film. I'm starting to warm up to Krampus, but I could be wrong.

>>62994494
American Dad has the best Christmas episodes.
>>
>>62994326
It was a venture bros plot line
>>
>>62994238
Well, it is a horror comedy.
>>
I'm looking forward to it, wouldn't mind seeing something on christmas that's a bit off and new. Not expecting it to be groundbreaking though.

>hurr durr a horror movie has to be rated R to be scary
You don't need blood and gore to be scary. Don't confuse a slasher movie with a hirror movie. Some of the greatest horror movies ever made weren't rated R.
>>
Would probably see it if it wasn't PG-13.

>>
>>62995094
Name one good PG-13 horror movie made in the last 30 years. They're all shit like Unfriended and Ouija aimed at the very specific audience of "14-year-old boys and their girlfriends who are easily startled by jumpscares."
>>
>>62995171
This is from the guy who made one of the best haloween horror movies. He made Trick R' Treat. This is going to have minimal jumpscares and maximum atmosphere and horror. I'll watch it and enjoy it. Stay jaded.
>>
>>62995171

>stop not being in my demographic, teenagers!!!
>>
>Director of Trick 'r Treat

What's the problem?
>>
>>62994238
It doesn't seem like a bad idea for a silly horror movie, but the trailer is fucking terrible. It's such a cliche trailer. I'm sure they could have done a better job, especially not trying to cram every possible Christmas song into the trailer.

It reminds of the marketing for kingdom of heaven as a swashbuckling adventure movie which it was anything but.
>>
>>62995171
Tremors, The Others, Poltergeist
There aren't many but it is not unheard of.
>>
Krampus looks like it could be good. Going to see it opening night.

On an unrelated note, does anyone know of a (Christmas?) horror movie where it's all filmed in one continuous shot and I heard the killer gets away with it but you never really see him or it. I've been looking for this after getting it recommended to me on /tv/ a little while ago. Cant' find it.

Nothing ringing (sleigh) bells here, senpai. Sounds like a mix between Black Christmas (the classic Bob Clark proto-slasher flick--not the 2006 garbage tier remake) and Silent House (once again---the original not the US remake from a few years back).

Silent house was not yuletide themed but was allegedly filmed in a single take and had an ambiguous ending
>>
>>62995171
The Ring
>>
>>62994238
From the creative team behind Trick r Treat--the best Halloween flick since John Carpenter made a little flick called---ahem--Halloween. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. Hype is high.

>>62994409
I was initial perturbed about that as well. But, I just don't think it is going to be a slasher film. Hell, I doubt anyone "dies" or at least dies on screen. If you want Krampus and gore, check out the "meh" Christmas Horror Story from this year.
>>
>>62995238
>He made Trick R' Treat.
I will never understand the love this movie get's on here. It's a piece of shit desu senpai
>>
I'm actually really hyped for this movie. Seems like it'll hark back to classic Joe Dante movies.
>>
If it's anything like Rare Exports it should be good comfy times
>>
I had never heard of Krampus until the AD episode.

Good modern horror flicks can't be rated PG-13 because you can get away with less now. If most of those you're talking about were made today, they'd be rated R.
>>
>Turn the Christian festive season into a horror themed event
>Scores of movies have done this

>Meanwhile Jew, Hindu, Buddhist, African festive seasons are off limits

Don't you just love the double standard.

Finally a christmas themed movie that I can get behind. This looks great.

of course you do you pretentious fuck. too bad you're not intelligent enough to engage with irony

>>
>>62997974
There already was a Hannakuh Horror movie it was Eight Crazy Nights.
>>
>>62997963

Isn't the problem more that directors and producers play it too safe with pg-13?
>>
>>62997974
There's no movies about those religions because no one gives a shit about their holidays.
>>
>>62998064
It's the studios' fault for forcing directors to cut shit out of their movies that would otherwise make it a hard R.
>>
>>62997974
Well, my uneducated friend, Krampusläufe (Krampus-running) is common in Austria and Southern Germany. It's been that way for hundreds of years and it is in fact tradition.

It's a big part of the festive season here. People are looking forward to it. It's great.

Not him, but those are old movies, back before the ratings were changed around. If they were released today, they'd be rated R

What's with the uprise of krampus stuff the past few years?

Last I saw one was on Grimm.
>>
>>62995094
But the thing with the thing with the PG-13 rating is that it guarantees that the movie won't have what everyone wanted:

Scenes where a demonic goat chimera erotically spanks the asses of sexy chicks and violates them all over with its meter-long tongue.
>>
>>63004512
Krampus is relatively known. People want something different. Krampus is the special version of santa that is reserved for naughty people. I'm actually surprised to see it took them this long to tap into that market.
