Actually, it's not. Jessica Jones is a character that was originally created over 10 years ago, but this show isn't based on any particular comic book.
In fact, that's generally how film or television adaptations of comic books work. Comic book franchises like these have been retconning themselves for so many decades that it doesn't really matter if the movies and tv shows they make after them are accurate to any particular story.
The only capeshit movies and shows where this isn't the case are ones like Kick-Ass, Watchmen, and V for Vendetta that aren't based on comic book franchises and instead are based on individual graphic novels.
