I love how Sheev acts before whipping out the lightsabers. Simple hand motion and immediately chokes out those guards, then just walks away. The way he throws Maul and Oppress then just chuckles. It's intimidating as hell. It's how he should have been handled when he fought Windu and Yoda in RotS.

Exactly. Sidious is cool when done correctly. RotS is caught between him being a devilish Machiavellian manipulator that's always laughing because he's always in control and an over the top old man making stupid faces. Sometimes the EU gets him right, other times it fucks up just as much as the movies, though he is better in RotJ.
