Generally, in a theater. But I think some movies work far better when watching alone at home, like The Hunt or Inside Llewyn Davis

Ideally, in a theater at least half-empty, with a calm audience. I don't mind doing 1 hour of public transport to get to the theater for a good movie. But if it's for the most recent blockbuster I know it's gonna be full and noisy so I watch it at home (laptop hooked to the TV thanks to HDMI cable).
But since most movies I watch are old and not in theaters (unless exceptional showing), I just end up doing it computer+TV 99% of the time.
