american psycho was, by far, one of the most overrated movies i've ever seen. Wasn't funny, wasn't scary, wasn't really entertaining in any way. Only good part was Bale. Also Interstellar is a good movie that no one likes only because of the person who made it. It's cheesy at parts but it's still a very good film

Princess Bride is only good if you saw it as a kid. I didn't, therefore I don't like it. I feel the same way about ET. Frozen is a good movie with annoying fans/marketing. Boyhood is a good movie for what it was trying to be (an honest depiction of growing up in the new millenium). Just because "nothing happened" doesn't mean it wasn't good, it just means you flat out didn't get what the film was doing.
