lets have a thread about TV shows that started well but completely fucked up on the way.
the biggest fuck up i know is Sliders, good cast, interesting story. but things went horribly wrong.
by the end of it, all the original cast was gone, the story line was non existent by the 3 season.
you could actually tell that nobody gave a fuck anymore, writers, actors, ...
i remember
the main character just disappears into a wormhole
did he ever get home poor guy

that poor girl went to a rape camp

TV shows need to know when to cancel. Kill it before it has a chance to get bad. Like Forever or Firefly.
>>62976194
that reminds me of the bad end of Quantum Leap
>giving a shit about the story line when its literally universe of the week.

>did he ever get home poor guy
Yes, but left almost immediately because he thought it wasn't home. The mailman oiled the squeaky gate to his house. Episode "Into The Mystic".

I was so pissed at that shit!
wuhrer was so hot in this

Yeah it is typical shitty writing. The main characters never getting what they want. If they do it'll be taken away within the episode. It is a common overused trope and method of social propaganda for creating a poverty mentality.

Purely "____ of the week" shows are better than Arc-based shows shows. But, it takes real talent to get a "____ of the week" show to do good as an arc storyline. SG1 did pretty good with that.
should have had one final episode where they hijack a borg transwarp conduit home.
Heroes started out really well but the writers did not really seem to have any plan for anything past season 1.
falling back on time jump and mind wipes to reset entire story lines. All while trying to solve their power creep issue with the certain heroes but rebooting them over and over. The show has a nice extra kicker of getting a 2nd chance years later only to go RIGHT back to what most of the fans disliked, as in mind wipes and time jumps.

>time jump and mind wipes to reset entire story lines
This is always a sure indicator that you need to stop watching immediately. Unless you are really into that or the start of the show is based around it exclusively.

They should have stopped here or continued only in the mirror universe. It gave me goosebumps watching the intro the first time,

Do shows that reinvented themselves poorly count?
