Yeah. Sitcoms revolve around static sets that better look interesting and lived in for an audience to buy them, but shit like this is appreciated in other things as well. I hate it in crime shows where everything just looks so sterile, usually in order to heighten the mood and make everything look more high tech and expensive, but it almost always just comes off as cheep and unnatural to me. Then there's shows like the CW capeshit on one side and the Marvel Netflix stuff on the other where things are often dirty and run down, but you don't buy that people would live that way. Murdock and Nelson's offices and apartments look too empty and shitty and lit up with yellow lamps to feel like they're anything but sets, Jessica Jones might be leading a shitty life, but that would be indicated with fast food wrappers, bottles and impulse drunk buys strewn about in excess and not the empty space we're getting by competent set dressing.
