What do people see in this movie? I absolutely do not understand the appeal.
People have been recommending it since I was in middle school, although then again I probably would have liked it better when I was like 12 or 13.
Wish fulfilment.
Cute, quirky and full of quips. Great movie for teens or people new to movies.

it's only a good movie when you are extremely young
it's a gigantic piece of shit
Normies like it for whatever reason. Probably even more now because of the Walking Pleb guy.

Yeah I watched it when I was young and it was the coolest thing.
I tried to watch it again recently and it was hard to finish it.
It's a poster you can put on your college dorm room next to your pulp fiction or keep calm and carry on poster. Other than it's a cult film that had a shitty sequel and starred Daryl from Walking Dead.
A movie for irishboos/mobsterboos

I think it's easier to enjoy when you realize that he tried his hardest to make a serious crime movie in the vein of Tarantino with a touch of Scorcese, and fell so off the mark that it became a cult comedy.
>Boondock / Mall Rats / Reservoir Dogs
The trifecta

What a unique opinion

You're a fucking human meme dude.
Most of the people I know who liked this movie are the same guys who say shit like "My Great Great _________ was Irish!" when they meet an actual Irish person.

Who the fuck is she?!?
It's a lowbrow action film. It's a cult classic.
Dafoe lifts the entire thing.
seems to be one of those movies that people think is "over the top on purpose, you're not meant to take it seriously!" like a tarantino movie but in reality it was just a badly made movie that got popular by accident, kind of the fan version of Tommy Wisue claiming The Room was bad on purpose

This is a human meme

Watched while on drugs with other people on drugs and my opinion was it felt like Pulp Fiction on speed
