Mine:

In Face the Raven she got too smug, she was trying to act like the doctor and set up a trap but it blew up in her face and she died for it

ding ding ding. It was a one off and the only stand alone story this series.
Basically, the scientist made up the whole scenario to film a video, broadcast it across the solar system and turn anyone who watches it from start to finish into a sandman using a signal he spliced into it.
It's incredibly convoluted and intentionally ends on a cliffhanger because Gatiss has a continuation to it in mind. It's not connected at all to today's episode and sticks out like a sore thumb to the rest of this series.

Actually this is a device that's been used much more times than that, Moffat didn't invent it, but to do it to introduce a new companion and get the ball rolling has never been done. It worked great because straight away they already have a relationship of sorts with Amy spent her whole life obsessed with the Doctor even her family knowing about him. Clara influencing Bonnie and talking to her at all in literal living room with that tv shit rather than anything more abstract, or just being asleep the whole time isnt good. Not establishing that any of that was possible before made seeing it happen to clara look like "clala is special" with no reason as to why
stopping the entire zygon war plot to do a rescue clara plot wasnt good.
Clara was literally unconcious and taken over and still did more to save the day than the Doctor did outside the last 10 minutes, and then he goes and gives the credit for that to Clara too.

Kek don't see how the best Doctor in the world could rescue this if you hate all the rest so much. 11 was a peak for the show and it probably won't get that good again by the looks of the last couple of years. Great chemistry between characters, lots of decent episodes, 9/10 doctor. Better than Crapaldi pretending to be autistic and playing his guitar, plus his companion who was supposed to be a genius when we first meet her, and then turns out to be a dull primary school teacher when she finally joins permanently. I like Jenna and Capaldi as individual actors but they have been sub par in these roles with some truly awful episodes to make it worse.
