Yeah every other episode they show Batman fighting one of rogues and he flashbacks to his childhood
Season 2 is getting really dark and cool. The first season was ok, but maybe a bit too campy for it's own good. I'm glad that the knives are finally coming out.

It's still campy but like you said with a more violent tone, one minute an cannibal assassin named Flamingo with a pink fringe is having a punch out with Gordon, the next he bites a cop's throat out
It sucked that they killed off Jerome so quickly, he was pretty fun to watch. Good Joker imo.

Such a crazy awesome character, right? Also, this whole assasain plotline is a like something out of John Wick, and I mean that in a good way. I think the first season was just supposed to set up the corruption and decadence of Gotham(so it was maybe a bit dull), and this season and the seasons after will explore what happens when the gates open up. I'm really liking E. Nigma's development too, that actor and the Penguin's actor are doing really well.

Well he went from doing heists to "legit businessman" with criminal dealings on the side, so not as much really, he ekes out his cut of other crooks' profit without having to get punched in the face by Batman.
