KOTOR 1 and 2 had some really good shit in them that actually enhanced the Star Wars lore, which is amazing that one of the extremely few examples of EU-stuff not making things even more retarded comes from a fucking video game.

Good. I enjoyed when the new novels like Zahn and Anderson's trilogies popped up but after a while a lot of it started to stink. So much of it read like glorified fanfiction.
It would be cool of them to allow writers to still publish their own non-canon stories though I know they won't. That was part of the problem from the beginning I think; Lucas insisted everything everything that gets in is official lore so while you had some great stories and characters you had to swallow all the horrible shit too.
It got out of hand. And whether TFA blows or not we are getting AT LEAST 6 more movies and if you want any of them to be watchable it's probably best they're not all weighted down and throttled by the cries if autistic man children.
