I've got a confession /tv/I've never watched a Jean-Claude Van Damme film. Ever.
It's time to start making up for lost time, gimme the essential Jean-Claude Van Damme watchlist.

>Watch Bloodsport now or I break you like I break your friend!
>>62813862
Bloodsport
Kickboxer
Double Team
You've never seen Predator?
The last true manly action hero man desu
Universal Soldier is badass
Hard target
Blood sport and hard target are essential. Rest optional.

n-nope
I know that I have sinned against Cinema
Bloodsport
Now
Kumite Kumite Kumite Kumite
>>62814082
Universal Soldier: Regeneration
Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning
These both kick ass, but skip Universal Soldier: The Return. It's pretty lame.
>>62813862
Bloodsport
Universal Soldier
Timecop
Street Fighter
>>62813862
Timecop is his best movie, but it could've starred anyone and still would be good. The pure JCVD experience is Bloodsport, although Double Impact is my personal favorite. Also, if you like Die Hard clones, check out Sudden Death. Powers Boothe steals every scene he's in.
>>62813862
bloodsport
kickboxer
hard target
sudden death (non martial art centered)
legionnaire (non martial art centered)
lion heart
sci fi
universal soldier
timecop
cyborg
drama:
jcvd
no where to run
Only one mention of kickboxer? For shame /tv. For shame.
Maximum Risk was pretty cool. I liked that he played a Frenchman so they didn't have to try and explain why an American had a French accent.
Double Impact was fun.

Meh. Aside from the last fight and the "FEELIN' SO GOOD TODAY" drunk dance, I tend to fast forward through big chunks of it.
>>62814629
He's done that in a few other movies. In Hard Target he's cajun, and in Death Warrant he's from Quebec.

>Take your fancy clothes, and your black silk ahnderwear, and go back to Disneyland
Lionheart
Double team & knock off
universal soldier is essential
Thanks everyone
+1 Internets to you all

That movie redpilled me on Dolph forever. He's fucking great in it, going full-on Nicolas Cage psycho.
>>62814658
I'm definitely a Bloodsport > Kickboxer guy but I do find the scenery in KB fantastic and the best of all his films(that I have seen*)
>>62814758
That movie makes me cry for some reason. Particularly the "Life isn't fair" speech he gives to the little girl at the end.
My favorite has always been Cyborg.
>post apocalyptic setting
>van damme uses swords, retractable knife boots and martial arts
>van damme actually tore one of the bad guy's eyes out in real life during filming and got sued
>vincent klyn easily as good a van damme villain as lundgren or yeung
>>62815175
The part where he gets crucified was fucking brutal.
>>62814082
Universal Manlet
>>62815461
To be fair, everyone's a manlet next to Dolph Lundgren and Tiny Lister.
>>62815461
>be van damme
>be 5'10
>pretty tall for frenchy midgets
>get casted opposite lundgren
>lundgren is 6'5
>manlet.jpg
>>62814330
Legionnaire is seriously the "best" movie I've seen Jean-Claude star in.
Don't get scared by the fact that it is direct-to-video, OP.
>>62815175
whoa, what? tore an eye out?
still, cyborg is an awesome movie
I thought The Legend was pretty cool. It's kind of like a more down to earth mortal kombat.
>>62815583
He stuck some dude's eyeball with a prop knife. Dude lost the eye. Sued for half a mil.
>>62815580
It was supposed to get a theatrical release but the studio went bankrupt and sold it to another distributor.
>>62815542
>aren't you too old for video games?
:3
>>62813862
i actually really liked JCVD.
seems like the rest of the essentials are here too.
>>62815714
Well, what do you know.
That explains why it seemed to have a pretty big damn budget invested on it.
It was a pretty decent movie, too, considering most of his stuff is objectively abysmal.
>>62815461
Wait isn't he like 5'10? Not 5'6 or some shorter than average shit
Although not a jcvd movie, kickboxer 2 is a lot of fun.
>>62814743
It's only smellz!
