I also fully agree with your rating of season 1, it was pretty good but not as good as the movie imo, it also had a sufficient amount of edge, sub-plots that went nowhere, and really only two characters worth giving a shit about. Nah, they won't pull that, not unless Ed becomes much more bad ass beforehand. Right now Ed's only been able to kill someone already wounded (and struggled to) and someone who attacked him at his job butchering meat (and he struggled there too). Like Lester got away with a lot of iffy shit last season, but he was never able to kill someone as good at killing as Malvo and couldn't even come close until the end.

Next episode. Peggy flees the house to her feminist friends, who its established will help her. She is clearly determined to make it to the conference in Sioux Falls and will think it will hide her from danger. She will abandon Ed, who after finding the bodies in his house will make the assumption where she is going and will follow, but with Hanzee hot on his tail.
Lou and Ted Danson will return to the station, where they will find the lawyer and his idiot pal in celebration.
Boss Cap will have recovered from the taser and left the crime scene, but instead of pursuing Peggy who will have already escaped he will return to his family compound. Bear will arrive, and in the midst of the corpses of their parents, remaining henchmen, and the traitorous whore, will react with anger. In this episode towards each other, but will mount to nothing more than a well enacted fist fight.
More importantly they will have to engage the nigger and his kike boi in a shootout, winner takes all.
The shootout will occur in Sioux Falls in the penultimate episode. Lou will be at bedside while cancerfu is dying and it will keep him away from the shootout. Ted Danson will be present, and will probably die in the aftermath.
Im kinda rooting for Ed and Peggy but I think their luck will run its course. As for wee crippled hands he will probably get the series happy ending by hooking up with the qt suicidegirl.

When the stand off ended I started laughing from nervousness, stress and said "holy shit".

At this point the first season is reminding me of the debut season of FX's The Bridge remake, where they essentially slipped in an entirely different show into an established property. They did a season that at least resembled the source material and then did a S2 that was completely different and far more complex.
I mean don't get me wrong, I loved the first season of Fargo. But S2 is on a whole other level.
I absolutely adore her.
