Eclipse Arc was one of the greatest arcs in a manga I've ever read. Most of Golden Age was bretty gud too. But there has been so much fucking garbage over the past 20 years of this series that it's kind of lost any impact.
Bloodborne is objectively the best piece of cosmic horror outside of the literary genre.

Is the manga more "cosmic" than the anime? I've only seen the anime and i wouldn't really call it that. 90% of it was typical fantasy. It's not until like the last 2-3 episodes, where shit starts to go all supernatural and demonic. I found it to be a weird tangent really. It was cool and all, but i would have preferred a more sensible ending.

The manga is better, after the part where the anime ends at Guts starts hunting apostles so its more supernatural stuff as opposed to the Golden Age, the arc which the anime shows.
The Golden Age is the best part of it anyway.

It's really on point, the guy playing OP's pic is absolutely 11/10 spot on and everyone else is solid. I've seen it in English, Italian and Japanese and I think they're all solid. Japanese is actually my least favourite because it just feels a bit strange considering the late-medieval central-European setting.
