Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame is getting a live action adaptation. What does /tv/ think?
Personally, I'm excited. It's my favorite disney movie.
starring ashton kutcher...
starring the elephant man
do you think elsa will make a cameo?
with maise williams as quasimodo
When did Maisie take that picture?
Will they make Frollo a priest instead of a secular judge?
I think it's one of the best Disney movies too, particular in terms of story, dialogue, voice acting, and songs.
But the traditional animation combined with computer animation hasn't aged so well. It works in Treasure Planet and Futurama, but not a film set in 15th-century France.
That said, live action will be even worse.
wow! Hollywood is going straight for the kekoldry narrative. How droll
I bet Esmeralda will get her buck

Fuck that. I like the animated movie, but if you're gonna make it live action then adapt it from the fucking book instead
Phoebus better be a fuccboi

This. Victor Hugo was an incredible author and story-teller. If you're going to make a movie based on Hunchback, don't remake a Disney film. Make it based on the book.
Charles Dance/Maisie Williams reunion then?

>live action of an animated adaptation of a live action adaptation of a book

I'd bet money they do what they did with the stage show. Remove gargoyles, keep the book's ending.

>Will they make Frollo a priest instead of a secular judge?
God I fucking hope so.

Fucking hellfire, why.
There was never a good adaptation of the book. Fucking never. Les Mis got a thousand fucking adaptations over the years, most of them being movies usually about 3-5 hours long, and Notre-Dame only got shit.
Best thing it got was that musical, but it goes downhill after they go the complete oposite way the book does and Quasimodo frees Clopin and the rest instead of attacking them, which was the best part.
