Why? It's already dumb when they remake a recent foreign film because americans won't read subtitles, but what's the point of this? It's in english and it was direct by Nolan so there's no way it's obscure young adults and the teenagers that put him in a pedestal. Why are they remaking a movie from 15 years ago? The whole point of remakes, so i thought, was when culture, technology, and aesthetics shifted so much that it becomes distracting for a normie modern day audience to focus on. What the hell, the one and only "older" thing in this movie is the use of polaroids. Of course now he could just go around with a GoPro strapped on himself at all times and never have to wonder. Would take some of the suspense out VS old faded pictures with hastily scribbled notes wouldn't it?
