First episode was pretty good. Likeable and interesting characters (other than that faggot magical kid). The Baron is a fantastic character, and Sunny is a good MC. Amazing action, as expected. Interesting world, though a little ambiguous.
All in all great pilot, will definitely be watching this season. What did /tv/ think?
I didn't care for the fight scenes. It felt like a cheap version of Bunraku. Bunraku had style and atmosphere, the series pilot was lacking both. I'll keep on watching, pilots are usally inferior as episodes go.

don't know what you're talking about m8, fight scenes were top notch, hell I prefer them to Daredevil because they actually showed him hitting people, not cloaking every punch in darkness.
I like most of the characters, the kid kind of sucks but at least he's not utterly defenseless. They could've stood to slow down a bit and let the plot develop a little more organically but at least there's good fights and political intrigue.
Looking forward to Stephen Lang and Lassie from Psych showing up.

I just finished season 2. Almost all of the fight scenes were golden thus far. Does it really drop in quality that much?
Anyway, Banshee is fucking amazing. I think it's even better than DD.

The pilot was pretty decent. The fights were average as expected from the trailer but the plot is interesting, it played on different demos and had something for everyone. A YA character with the usual YA subplots like having a special power, training in a boarding school situation, it felt similar to something like Divergent or Maze Runner. A tough main character who fights. The drama of the baron's family. All tied in a fun post-apocalyptic package. Definitely checking the next episode.

The fights would look OK to the average viewer, there isn't exactly lots of competition on TV right now. But for the martial arts movies' fans who actively seek this stuff, they know this choreography isn't even on the level of some Asian action B-movies.
