Although the presidential race is already hotter than hot, Trevor Noah, the leftwing host of Comedy Central’s “Daily Show,” has managed to turn off a full 37% of his predecessor’s viewers. According to Nielsen, Noah is down 32% in the all important 18-49 viewing demo, and down a catastrophic 37% in total viewers.
The channel has suffered double-digit ratings declines for the last eight weeks, and was down more than 50 percent for one of them.

I actually randomly found this guy on youtube a few weeks ago and watched some of his standup. It's more story based with some insightful quips thrown in but no real quotable jokes. Dude is clearly intelligent and tells great stories but he also tends to racebait occasionally. He wont last here. Him speaking hitler styled german and talking about apartheid were pretty good tho.

This shouldn't really be news considering the impact Stewart had and the legacy he left behind. No matter who they chose to replace him, the first year was going to be hard.
That said, I still think Noah was a bad choice. He's young and foreign, which isn't a good mix when trying to satirize American politics. He comes across far too ignorant of the jokes he's trying to make. They lack the weight to have any impact. Stewart's knowledge and bitterness of the subject matter are what made him funny. Noah doesn't seem to know why he's making fun of these people.
