Man of Steel is really divisive, decent though. Unbreakable and Spidey 2 are good. But Chronicle's pretty shitty. Same old cape origin story, same old plot beats, just no capes. Noble hero, brash popular jock, sniveling twerp winds up the villain. And with that awful hand held camera artifice. Wow. Deconstruction.

this desu senpai
LotR threads are always patrician tier if they are popular.
Pretty universally loved too.
>inb4 some contrarian cunt.
Some classic foreign directors are universally liked by those that have seen them. Ive never seen anyone say a bad thing about Ingmar Bergman or Andrei Tarkovsky.
>>62756649
Ingmar Bergman is decent, Tarkovsky is a fucking hack of the highest order
>>62756665
>Tarkovsky is a fucking hack of the highest order
The Sopranos, Red Desert, Zerkalo, The Decalogue, Persona
Tell me why anyone would hate this
>>62756972
Its boring with no likeable characters.
>>62756639
Lotr are good but if you think they're patrician you're an idiot redditor. They're good movies, not films.
>>62756458
Aren't you a retarded nigger?
Twin peaks, arnie, xfiles, old simps, twilight zone

It's fine, but holy shit is it overrated. Watching it for the first time as an adult might've killed it for me though.
>>62757446

I've spent 6+ hours on this board daily since 2008. This is quite possibly the only tv series or movie I have never seen anything negative about.
>>62757568
Yes.
I think There Will Be Blood is pretty universally loved here.
I didn't like it much myself tho.
>>62756466
I've always enjoyed this movie. I especially like the Leper King but couldn't place why. Finally after a few viewing I bothered to actually watch the credits and noticed it was Edward Norton. Kind of explained it for me.
>>62757802
>anything of PTA
>universally liked on /tv/
>>62757802
I like that movie but universally loved here? hell nah
/tv/ likes Drive. It's just that it's enjoyment turned into post-ironic posturing pretty fast.
/tv/ loves Drive. If you don't like Drive, you are a new school fob from reddit
