Also seems like something /pol/ neo-cons who praise Cormac McCarthy and love Blood Meridian without understanding it will like. Indulges xenophobia footnoted by a native american actor going "hey ho i swear dese guys arent an insert for natives"

Anyways as a film, it's pretty much worthless, does nothing that hasn't been done better before. Kurt Russel is okay and the gore effects shine in one scene despite the relatively poor use they're put to.

man.. i am usually not a fan of westerns, but i enjoyed this.
it was grim and very gruesome at times and
i feel like it moved along at a decent pace considering it's a bit long and somewhat slow.. the pace seemed appropriate considering the period and the content.. i didn't feel bored at all

I OVERLY LIKED IT; IT IS MUCH BETTER THAN I EXPECTED; I EXPECTED A TYPICAL "GRITTY" "WESTERN", BUT THIS "MOVIE" MOVES BEYOND ITS OWN THEMATIC PRECONDITIONS, AND THE FINAL RESULT IS ONE OF THE BEST "MOVIES" OF THIS DECADE YET.

Ending played it too safe. Brought it down from a solid 8/10 to a 6.
