ITT: film moments that make you cry
>>62732657
That one for sure. Rips my heart out just looking at it. Also when she finds Mose all beat to shit by the mob. I think the lack of music in both of those scenes really emphasizes their loneliness.
God damn I love Paper Moon. Watch it every year https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USay5T-Er5k
>>62732657
that movie is some good shit
deserves more love, even if director a shit

A classic.
>>62732716
Addie was such a bad-ass. And i thought pic related was the most awesome child character in films
When Doc returns to the empty lot and finds the Golden Fang. Surprisingly powerful scene.
>>62732796
It's a real life version of this
I LOVE YOU TOMMY
Armageddon man. When his bald manlet self stays behind. So mr. Argo could have his broad-shouldered, tall as fuck, qt daughter. Oh, saving the world counts too, I guess.
It's a stupid movie. But with just the right amounts of stupid.
Like Pacific Rim for instance.
I like your name, Robin.

>>62732830
FUCKING THIS SO HARD, nobody seems to give Antoine Doinel credit enough, he basically is a more mentally stable, awesomer and cool holden caufield
the scene in Taxi Driver where Travis is sitting in his apartment watching American Bandstand
Can't.

>God damn I love Paper Moon
I've always loved it too. And now that I have a daughter Addie's age... more so.
>>62732657
The ending of Song of the Sea
>It's been a rough year, Dad.
>>62732657
Fucking hell that movie was great
>>62732831
I felt moved toward the end. I think Bigfoot tweaking out, his final Shasta scene, shit, even the rain/Neil Young scene. That movie had a lot of heart.
>>62732830
agreed
The end and end credits of The Great Beauty with that languid boat ride and score make me tear up
https://youtu.be/ukjJDM07edE
>You will never roam the Kansas endless plains, sleep under the night sky and have adventures with your partner in crime buddy-daughter
Tfw I don't necessarily want a gf, I want a friend that gets me

Can't even imagine what he's feeling. Preferred Tokyo Story.
The whole end gets me everytime
>>62735571
Holy fuck this, it's such a real moment, I feel like breaking down every time
>>62734397
This gave me a boner. I'm so fucked up.
>"As long as the Earth, Sun and Moon exist, everything will be alright"
>"I never deserved to be loved."
God EoE made me cry twice.
I wonder if it remembers me
>>62735694
>shit, even the rain/Neil Young scene.
The scene I posted with The Golden Fang was a part of that. Journey Through The Past is still playing when he returns to the lot, and it's the contrast with the Ouija/rain flashback that made that part so emotional for me.
>>62737075
das a good one. seen that movie so many times
The bit in titanic where rose is dreaming of walking past everyone who had died, to meet jack at the top of the staircase ;_;
dgaf. It's mostly the music though.
>>62737888
this got me originally, but i've seen that fucking movie so many times now it has no effect on me
>>62737888

Wow, I should have read the thread first kek
I've had a rough year dad.
>>62735571
>>62739574
Holy fuck I didn't even see it when I posted it
I honestly haven't felt emotionally moved to tears by any film, piece of music, or art in general, apart from tears of laughter that is. Art critique is my passion in life. Am I a cold man?
>>62738080
>>62738315
God damn it, I always feel like a fucking idiot crying over a volley ball. Hanks and Zemeckis just sell it perfectly somehow.
>>62732831
I've been wanting to watch it again for a while.
spoilers for Inside Out
>Take her to the moon for me... okay?
>>62740018
you don't understand art yet, maybe someday don't worry
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5Idr_MdvUY
>>62740110
Does that mean you have to be an emotional person to appreciate art?
This scene ruined me.
>>62740189
nah, anybody can appreciate art, but no everybody can feel it
>>62740212
maybe he is just a psychopath and he didnt realize it yet

i should recommend this film to more people
one of my favourite japanese directors
>>62735663
Fuck Paprika, this movie was Kon's best work by far.
>>62740018
I can't believe art critique is your passion and you don't have an answer to this.
People experience and express things differently. You can be moved deeply without crying. But furthermore, art appreciation is scarcely even emotional, though it often surfaces in emotions, it's something far more abstract. Even the most distant of sociopaths can appreciate art.
Aesthetic and intellectual experience goes far deeper than base emotions.
>>62740275
Never thought Paprika was that good desu.
>>62740258
that's the one
>"Grandpa, were you a hero in the war?"
Grandpa said no, but I served in a company of heroes.
>>62732657
>>62740203

Wes Anderson owes a lot to this movie.
