I agree that the movie was well shot, had a good opening and decent action, but the villain was pretty bad.
Like most Bond films, I feel that the bond girl always slows the story down, and this one was no exception.
One minute she's telling James how she isn't going to fall into his arms. A couple of scenes later, they're making love on a train, and a couple scenes after that she tells him how much she loves him. Literally walks off with Bond as he gives up being an agent.
The subplot with C was boring to no end, and I didn't really care for it.
Casino royale is the only good craig bond film. Fight me.

getting bored during any part is -2 as standard. I've yet to meet anyone who didn't get bored during act 2. utterly interminable. That's -3 as far as I'm concerned.
The villain was not good. He made a super criminal organisation to... ruin James Bond's life. He killed his own father. Why? To ruin James Bond's life. He's this buttravaged about James Bond why? James was good at things when he was adopted by villain's father 30 years ago. Cue monologue about kekoos. The entire London plotline was just garbage too. I hate C's actor and M was so under-utilized.
I can't be bothered going into all the conflicts in tone.
This film was at best 5/10, I'm more comfortable with a 4/10.

Iunno, why but I just hated it. Literally style over substance the movie.
The round table of shadowy gentle of doom, the mastermind behind it all, the impact crater lair, the synchronized stand and stare, everything just made me sigh. Bloefield was just absurd. He must have spent a few days training all his hencemen like, guys, when I turn off the lights I want you to all turn around and stare at the same time, its important to me. And towards the end, Bond was going through the cell block and posters of the various villains were posted up right? Bloefield had to tell his guys, I want you to print out posters of these and hang them up, it's gonna make him freak I'm telling you.
