From a collector's perspective NO modern SW shit (1997 - present) will ever be worth what a carded original Boba Fett or vinyl-caped Jawa is worth.
Most of the prequel shit is either worth at or below their original retail price, which is crap. Their prices should be rising at this point. Only the various clone troopers hold any value, and only because "army builders" gotta have 20 each of them.
In a long-term perspective, only the most expensive of LEGO sets will have big value, and only because their prices ensured they're something that wasn't commonplace in the first place due to their high retail prices.

Get the original Baroness. Hardly anyone from the era remember ever seeing her on the pegs in stores, and IF Hasbro ever releases its production #'s it would easily show that it's probably the lowest-produced of all the non-mailaway "regular" figures they made. And right now with the millenials currently only caring about the newer stuff it's grossly under-valued for its rarity.
Plus the mail-away straight-arm Cobra Commander; it's rare as shit.
The first Storm Shadow and first and second versions of Snake Eyes will always be valuable, but they're not really that rare. They were popular characters so a fuckload were produced. BUT the demand should always keep them valuable.
Plus the aircraft carrier FLAGG. It was big and expensive, so almost no kid had it. That makes it rare and expensive now, and not likely to change any time soon.
