I started watching S1 because someone told me it gets really good in S2.
About halfway through S1 I started to actually give a fuck about it and began to have fun around episode ten. Enjoyed it until the end of the season. Finale didn't sit right with me but it was enough to want to keep going.
I'm two episodes into season two and frankly I want to vomit. It's so bad. It's soooooooooo bad. I just. Ugh. Hurk. Terrible. The only reason I'm going to suffer through any more episodes is Nygma. And even then I need to be in a distinctly masochistic mood. The "Maniax" just ruin it for me. Terrible. Contrived.
I love how Barbara got brainwashed and is now standard arrogant evil. Makes zero fucking sense given her past and her situation. inb4 anything on this show making even the smallest amount of sense, but I thought they just handled it really badly.

Fake Joker dies in episode 3 and the Maniax story ends permanently. The rest of the show is about Penguin, Gallivan and Riddler.
Season 2 of Gotham has been awesome so far, it's got the perfect blend of campiness, seriousness and flat out stupidity. The scene with 100s of Penguins was amazing. And shit like the sex slave auction or Riddler scattering that girl's bodyparts all around the police station, this show is like no other.
