Let's say you were to make revisions to the prequels in the same way Lucas did to the originals.
For example:

>Obviously you can alter scenes, but you can't remove them from the film
>You can add new shots here and there
>You can update visual effects where you feel necessary
>You can add sound effects or short lines
>You can re-insert existing deleted scenes
These aren't strict rules, just a general guideline. Basically, use the changes he made to the original trilogy as an example of what you can and can't do to the prequel trilogy.
That being said, what would you do? What would you change?

Honestly, I can think of something constructive to change.
Add a couple of lines or maybe extended versions of scenes where you can hear regular citizens on Coruscant bitching about Jedi in the same way real people sometimes bitch about cops. I could picture adding lines like that in Episode 2, during the scene where Obi-Wan goes to Dex's diner, or the scene where they chase the assassin into that night club.
I would put the deleted scenes of padme and jimmy smitts secretly forming the rebel alliance in ep3 back in. Those scenes were actually kind of well written, shot, and acted as well as providing a tie-in to the OT that actually makes some sense. No idea why they were cut

In The Phantom Menace, You would probably want to establish that Boss Nass is more familiar with Jar-Jar, and point out that he is at least aware of Chancellor Vellorum.
The Invasion of Theed should include a noble, middle and working-class death count.
I would add Darth Maul watching the Dinner Conversation on Tatooine and perhaps forcing Watto to place the bet with Qui-Gonn Jinn.
After Anakin collects the prize from the race, you could have a scene of his fellow slaves looking back at him longingly. This might show that he's leaving more than just his mother behind.
One thing I love about the Jedi Council scene where they're appraising Anakin is when Mace wants to call Anakin a slave, but stops himself and calls him a boy instead. I would add a Jedi Leader who still openly called Anakin a slave, after he was freed. This scene would show that Anakin is still looked upon as being less equal than the others, by the nature of his birth.
When Palpatine is nominated as Chancellor, it should mirror Anakin winning the podrace. There should be more of a victory celebration and after party. It should be viewed as the most exhilarating climax in the film.
Before Naboo is saved, Palpatine should leave his victory celebration and should be doing something during the Duel of Fates.
Finally, Palpatine or his blue guard guy should commend Jar-jar directly and publicly offer him a job working with them.

I like this and I would suggest that Palpatine do it himself, not the blue guy. It would serve as an indication of Palpatine's scheming for the upcoming films. The first thing he does as Chancellor is hire a really stupid guy to work directly underneath him.

For Attack of the Clones, I'd add all of the deleted scenes back in, because these scenes set up what will happen later. However, I'd extend the trial of Anakin and Padme, and include a backroom jury scene a la 12 Angry Men. The jury may be worried about what the Republic will do if they discover that a Queen was executed on their planet.
I'd also give Hayden Christensen the opportunity to re-dub all of his lines, and ask him to practice speaking them in Iambics. This would give Anakin a more austere and pretentious quality. Christensen could also deemphasize the emotionality of all the lines about his mother. Anakin shouldn't be seeking a therapist, he wants to bang Padme.
He should be a little more like Daniel Craig in Casino Royale.

For Revenge of the Sith, some of the scenes with Anakin and Obi-Wan are great, but the Rebellion meetings are a joke! Those should be re-shot.
General Grievous should have a set-up before he is introduced.
The idea that the clones want to imitate Jedi is a great idea, but what was their ambition? To overtake the temple like they had overtaken the senate? Were there any cloned senators??
Yoda's Exile to Dagobah should be reinstated, mainly because the current cut of the film is missing a beat.
