entertainment has nothing to do with that premise at all, and the comedy is about a group of privileged people who've technically achieved the american dream despite doing nothing to earn it. since they have nothing to work for or look forward in their lives, having had everything handed to them, they stagnate in a bubble of malignant irony and are incapable of connecting with anything meaningfully or sincerely. there's nothing about the comedy that glorifies them, and almost works to make them reprehensible. the only way to read the film like that is if you're fulfilling confirmation bias for why you hate hipsters so much.
If you needed undeniable proof that Andy Kaufman is actually dead just remember that this guy has made a career off of a second rate Tony Clifton impression for the last two decades without a lawsuit.
