Hey /tv/,
I remember parts of a movie from when I was a teenager/kid, but can't get the name.
It's about a spy/special agent who is sent to some island as retirement, because he knows so many secrets or sth.
But the island is more like a prison. There is this hand scanner where he has to put his hand on every so often and if not he'll be shot. He is exercising a lot, etc. And then sth happens in the outside world: with his wife or kids or sth.
So he starts planning his escape.
There is one scene where he improvises this fancy machine and rips of the skin of his hand to not set off the alarm.
I'm guessing it should be 1997-2001.
