Protip, you should do this with every art form, at least that's my "guideline" whenever I start reading someone works, or appreciating their films, looking at their art, or listening to their music. You can feel them evolve, for better or worse, usually at the moment when the creations have met their peak (early half of the career) you've seen the developments and changes and appreciate for what they are, usually ending in master pieces.
Philosophers usually break the norm though, their best work are later in their career (be it shitty healthcare, too few, etc..).
