Yeah it's like the characters can't afford to sit and think for a single minute about how Thawne was NOTHING like the real Wells and now they're meeting a 3rd, COMPLETELY different person.
Because that's the only "Wells" they ever knew. They acknowledge it was actually Thawne but I'm sure the writers prefer to keep all the characters equating the face to the man because it adds that silly pretend layer tension. Characters in the Flash like to overreact about some dumb things.

Ever since Wells from Earth 2 appeared the writers keep bringing up trust issues based on what Thawne did while pretending to be Wells as if those actions somehow translate to the actual Harrison Wells. In the last episode Joe said Wells from Earth-2 was "wearing the face of Barry's mother's killer".

I'm halfway through season 1 and I'm considering whether to continue watching. The main plotline is interesting and I like Wells but BARRY IS SO FUCKING WHINY and the relationship drama is really hard to cope with too. Does Barry get better and does the show continue with the asinine relationship drama?
