also, what the SHOULD do is, bring glenn back but actually have daryl meet lucille. i think even show runners know that everyone is expecting glenn to get bashed, killing daryl would really get his character started off right with the viciousness and the fear that no one has (as much) plot armor anymore.
plus, dwight could take his place afterwards too, they could easily give his death to someone else (morgan) and have dwight fill daryls role of silent badass with a heart of gold that everyone grows to love.

Do you really think the show can capture Negan's moral code? He wasn't a monster after all.
He never raped and never allowed rape. He always gave people a chance. He easily built the safest base in that region. He was a tactical genius too and only lost because of disloyal assholes.
I just fear the show will depict him as a terrible evil monster with no redeeming features. But to make him work he has to kill Darryl or Carol. It's the only character that will have the same impact as the death in the comics.
I wonder how they'll handle his relationship with Carl.

And I think he was very likable. His language and mannerisms make him funny at times in the comics. He doesn't just go around being a fucking cunt to everyone for no reason, he does have his reasons.

From what I've seen so far from snippets Negan seems to be the biggest fictional meme character in existence. Incredibly edgy with no reason.

Look, I just want more out of a character, you lowest common denominator.
This character archetype might be fresh in /tv/ or /co/ but it's everywhere in /a/ and is a lazy way to keep the reader's attention with cheap & predictable violence outbreaks. So I'm asking is that all to him or is that the extent of Negan's character?

Stopped reading the comics after they arrested Negan, looked like Kirkman ran out of ideas until Governor 3.0

Because the Governor did, so they wanted some differences I guess. They also probably wanted the contrast where Negan is super brutal but kind of thinks he's doing the right thing in his own way, so I guess it's supposed to be a bit of a quirk. Then again, on #100 on his first appearance he threatens Rick to let some of his men "run a train on your son", so it's kind of inconsistent I guess.
