How come for a while everyone here pretended Eyes Wide Shut was the best Kubrick movie and now everyone says Barry Lyndon is? I haven't seen it but it seems like every couple years the consesus of Kubrick's "best" changes on /tv/.
I remember a time when The Shining was everyone's favorite Kubrick here because that Giorgio tier documentary was released and everyone was thinking how deep the movie was.

Barry Lyndon is so boring. Yes, every shot is like a painting but the story...the acting...
I found that "The duellists" of Ridley Scott was a true masterpiece in comparison.

It's a masterpiece, and one of Kubrick's best works.

I love the acting in it. So over the top, really makes the whole thing pretty humorous

i've always known BL is his best
EWS is a close second tho.

Because this board is full of kids and tweens, they probably saw some youtube faggot mention it and say its Kubrick's best. so the sycophants here just regurgitate what they hear and pretend they are patricians.
Just look at the RLM fans here, if they "like: a movie (as long as its not capeshit) they'lllike it and Parrot RLM's opinion.

People have been praising BL for years on /tv/, just because it's underrated. It's far from Kubrick's best.
I think FMJ is his best. Barry Lyndon is severely underrated, though. It's a great movie.

they are all exceptional
best kubrick is an exercise in futility

Because every Kubrick's films is his best film.
