Well true but however rarely I even go to a movie theater, isually isn't an issue because I'm never there when it's insanely crowded but I can understand. We also have so many multiplex screens because of all the shopping malls and stuff and plenty of them in smaller towns that crowding isn't a normal thing. We have multiple large and high quality theatres over here while also having low population density so it's easier for us to get seats we approve of without having to wait in lines.
Of course massive premiers of blockbuster such as the upcoming Star Wars will have lines for the very first few screanings, which no normal person goes to if they want to enjoy the movie anyway.

That seems kinda small. The $2 theater in the normal mall has at least 8 screens; the higher-end mall complex has a dedicated theater with 10+ screens, same with the mall avenue-mall thing. Then there's the Irvine Spectrum, multiple screens. Even the malls in mexico have multiple screens. What kind of hick town do you live in?
