I walked up to him and told him that Sam Mendes is a fucking hack and that he's a dogshit Bond that is nothing compared to Dalton. He didn't say anything at all but I could tell that a part of him knew I was right.
He was the only one to make Bond a likeable person.

Your video game nostalgia doesn't make that true. It was a regression, artistically speaking. Moore was trash, then they reinvented it into something great with Dalton, which the trash loving plebs rejected and then they went back to trash. Goldeneye is okay. Passable but mediocre compared to License to Kill or The Living Daylights, but everything Bronson did after that was straight trash. Casino Royale is the only "good" Bond film post Dalton.
