I liked this way longer than I should have just on nostalgia fumes, but eventually I woke up and realized it's a full-blown guilty pleasure. I also remember the ads with "Larger Then Life" playing every other commercial break... good lord.

Patrician taste anon. It was a great film.
The only thing I didn't like about it was how it was clearly severely edited from the original script. You could watch the trailers and see all sorts of deleted scenes, and little bits in the final movie that hinted at a deeper and more involved storyline involving the Disguisey family that was edited out, probably to emphasize the comedy over storytelling. That bothered me even as a kid.
