I think the biggest problem is all the tokenism. Celebrating minority characters is a form of racism. Instead people should treat characters from all backgrounds the same. Today if you write a show about a minority character then everything in the show has to relate to their minority. Look at Black-ish, Fresh Off the Boat, Orange is the New Black, etc. In the future we will hopefully live in a world where for example the main detective in a cop drama is Hispanic but nobody talks about that being an issue.

Being proud of your race or nation is akin to a parent being proud of something their child did, even though they themselves had no part in it. There's nothing wrong with enjoying the successes of another.
That said, I don't think there's a need for a "White pride" anything. Just convince people that they're not responsible for the evils of the past just for the color of their skin.
