A shot is composed with of moving images you plebeian. The best shots cant be experienced unless you see them in motion. For example, tarkovskys shots are like 2 minutes long each, to really understand how good tarkovskys cinematography is you need to see the full shot. What you posted was a still image from a shot. Compisitionally the shot is very impressive, but thats such a small aspect to what makes it good or not.

eh, i suppose they're not bad, but 'good' on the scale that something like Star Wars or Die Hard or Badlands is good. We all know that it's good, and no one is going to mount a successful argument that any of these movies are bad, but that doesn't mean they're that interesting, particularly spectacular, the best-made around, or really the cream of the crop on any aspect. Yeah, they're good gateway films, but that gives them more personal importance than merited in a discussion. It's really not the end of the world though, /tv/ is still the best film appreciation board on the net
