Watching Empire despecialized right now, first time with Harmy's version. I don't know if I just didn't pay attention to the comparisons or what but the color corrections are kind of tweaking my autism. I noticed the TIE fighters looking extra blue so I opened up the LaserDisc version to compare them, to be fair they were also really blue there too, but I left them running side by side for a while and started noticing how much more blue light there is. Not even this shot, but it's a decent highlight of it, Luke's X-Wing when him and R2 are heading to Degobah everything is bathed in blue.
Losing hope that Disney will ever do a proper BluRay release.

Oh, I forgot that I watched Vampire Academy before going to TFA. I downloaded it because Zoey Deutch looks qt as hell in the Everybody Wants Some trailer and she was pretty great in VA. It was a cute movie, I was happy to see the kid from Gotham and Shameless a bit and her vamp crush was well cast. I've never seen him in anything before. He looked a bit like David Boreanaz after he started packing on the lbs and they did a few things that were reminiscent of Buffy/Angel in the movie. The other bigger names were fine as well, but it's really not a great movie. 6/10

And I forgot two others. I watched O (2001), It was worse than I remembered. I think the actual basketball scenes were still okay and that's partially why I gave it a pass before. Sports scenes in movies are usually supremely tacky and the ones in this were mostly bearable. Nice hip hop soundtrack and Josh Hartnett at his teenage lady killing best are the highlights. 2/10
No Escape I also saw because I heard it was a bit underrated. It really isn't, but it has a fun premise and a good cast. It just doesn't quite deliver in both the action and the horror elements. The suspense was okay but it didn't have the balls to follow through, if it did I think it wouldn't have gone by as an under discussed movie. The rooftop scene was thrilling until it took too long and the SFX were hilarious, the scene at the river at the end was horrifying but everything turns out okay so in the end it's totally forgettable. Maybe worth a rewatch sometime for shits and giggles. 3.5/10

I read abit about fanny and alexander, and there is supposed to be a longer version of this. I watched two parts and each was 1h+smth. I felt the atmosphere, but it seemed like a lot was missing. Fanny has like no personality, despite her name being in title, how alexander changed, how soon his mother went from love to hate, how suddenly everything resolved, ghosts here and there but no real substance. I mean yes, it all makes sense in a way, but it feels like there had to be shown more.
Sicario was great, good tension, decent action, interesting piece, compared to MI, which pulls out bullshit out of it's ass in every scene, it's like a 5 year olds power fantasy when he dreams about being a spy. Nothing, NOTHING made sense in that movie.

One of Dreamworks best movies by far. I like the fact that the villain has a real reason for hating his master, it's actually conveyed in the fight. I dunno it's pretty great for a kids movie.
