If "Spectre" by Radiohead (https://soundcloud.com/radiohead/spectre) had been chosen as the theme for the latest Bond flick, where would you rank it?

In my little ad-hoc ranking it would take a spot right between the two GOOD "NuBond" themes, which would then make it No.3 on my all-time top 5:

1. Shirley Bassey – Goldfinger
2. Chris Cornell – You Know My Name
3. (Radiohead – Spectre)
4. Adele – Skyfall
5. Tina Turner – GoldenEye

It's a pretty darn great theme actually, to be honest famine

This movie was shit. What the fuck man? Terrible last hurrah for Craig who brought a pretty interesting take on Bond

I remember thinking he'd be shit back before Casino Royale came out

Then that fucking chase scene in Royale where he's chasing the black guy down... so good.

Man they fucked Spectre up so bad. You made up this terrifying bad guy who was Bond's half brother kind of and he just ends up being a fucking cartoon tier bad guy

Oh, I'm going to strap you to a chair and do evil things to you!

Oh I'm going to tie up your girl and blow up the building

Give me a fucking break.

Yeah.
This is about the title themes though.
"Goldfinger" wasn't (by modern standards) a better movie than "Casino Royale" and "Golden Eye" was definitely, by no stretch of the imagination better than, say, "Licence to Kill" or even "Dr. No". Still had a better title theme though.

I don't remember Spectre's title theme that much. I just remember hentai octopus and craig standfucking some silhouette
>>
>>64135009
>or even "Dr. No"
oh, wait. Scratch that. "Dr. No"'s title theme was actually John Barry's classic theme...
>>

>diamonds are forever theme not above skyfall
Sure skyfall is the better movie but theme wise?
Come on man

Shit film to be fair

Guess that's the problem. It's neither a memorable theme song, nor emotionally investing.
It's not half as BAD as for example Madonna's "Die Another Day" but it's totally forgettable.
>>

>Madonna's "Die Another Day"
Now *that* I remember, but for all the wrong reasons
>>
not even in the top 10 it's equally as bad as sam smiths imo
>>
Someone lost serious money betting on this.

fuckin synth pop. 80s pop is worst pop. And I actually witnessed a great big part of the eighties.
>>
>>64135283
Nah man.
When 80's Pop was good it was the best period.
But when it was bad it was awful.
>>
The World Is Not Enough is good
>>
>>64135360
How can it be that Duran Duran was at the same time one of the best and one of the worst bands of the eighties... They wrote some really neat tunes but th e-drums and synth shit they implemented was abysmal

Good 80s Pop:

Bad 80s Pop:

Note the difference.

>Oh, I'm going to strap you to a chair and do evil things to you!
even tho the whole idea was dumb, I find it pretty interesting how you can fuck with a person so much with a small little needle, I would have liked if it actually erased his memory or whatever.
>>
>>64135218
The real problem here is that there's virtually nothing about this song that would suggest it was ever meant to be a Bond movie theme.
>>
>>64135648
>I find it pretty interesting how you can fuck with a person so much with a small little needle
Was any of it true though? Lots of this movie felt like it completely abandoned trying show any bit of realism (all that computer hacking... what the fuck)
