It would be 10/10...if they had cut out about 45 minutes. Seriously by the last third I just kept thinking "jesus, how much longer can they drag this out?" If there was something to it other than "man wants revenge on other man" then maybe it could have justified the length but there literally wasn't. And although there wasn't a lot of dialogue, some of the dialogue there was was super cheesy.

just as vacuous as all his other movies. the guy honestly just seems like he has a pretty small mind. none of his movies have any ideas of any significance. this movie is just a really beautifully shot (though not really because the photography serves no purpose other than being explicitly technically impressive) standard revenge plot. it's on par with stuff like The Edge essentially except that movie had no pretensions whereas that's all The Revenant is.
it's shit designed to appeal to people who think these kinds of movies are the highbrow alternative to Star Wars
