Just started a thread to discuss it, really.
I'm watching this great documentary about the poor afro-american community and its relationship with the basketball entertainment industry.
I am liking it very much. It reminded me a lot of "He Got Game" from Spike Lee, and seeing as the director is making an appearance, I thought it made sense.
But I must say I thought its depicting of the afro-american community to be rather trite and cliche. But since I'm not American, I wouldn't know.

I just heard a radiophonic reportage on how a black man in the USA has a 70% chance of going through the prison system during his lifetime. There was even a comparison made with the Jim Crow laws.
Sometimes I feel like the USA hasn't solved its racial issues at all.
Speaking of racial issues, have you seen Do The Right Thing? I thought it was very well shot, with an intriguing framing and editing.
