The title + box cover made it look like derivative trash. I thought it was going to be a ghetto kung fu movie, than I heard how it was based off of "Le Samourai" and I was intrigued, watched it and it turned out to be pretty damn good.

The cover with the lead actor with two crossed swords in the snow made me think it was going to be another Asian action film and I rented it expecting as much, it turned out to be a really solid and really pretty character movie.

Scott's last expedition deserves a miniseries too. More interesting crew and lots of different subplots. And all of it real.

I remember seeing this at an imax theater for a school field trip.
